| John Lennon: "Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that, I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - Rock and Roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me."
John Lennon: "When I feel my head start to swell I look at Ringo- then I know we're not superhuman." Paul McCartney: "I think that, particularly in the old days, the spirit of The Beatles seemed to suggest something very hopeful and youthful." John Lennon: "My original idea for the cover was better - decapitate Paul - but he wouldn't go along with it." |

| John Lennon: "The Queen's intelligent. It won't spoil her cornflakes."
Paul McCartney: "Fame, in the end, is getting off your parking fine because the attendant wants your autograph, and fame is being interrupted when you're eating by a 50-year-old american lady with a pony-tail. The four of us are known to almost everybody in the world, but we don't feel that famous." George Harrison: "As a band, we were tight. That was one thing to be said about us, we were really tight, as friends. We could argue a lot amoung ourselves but we were very, very close to each other, and in the company of other people or other situations we'd always stick together." Paul McCartney: "It was never an overnight success." John Lennon: "We were the sons of The Goon Show. We were of an age. We were the extension of that rebellion in a way." John Lennon: "We know all about 'Yesterday'. I have had so much accolade for 'Yesterday'. That's Paul's song and Paul's baby. Well done, beautiful, and I never wished I'd written it." George Harrison: "People were so out of their minds, trying to shove STP on me, and acid - every step I took there was somebody trying to give me sonething - but I didn't want to know about that." Ringo Starr: "There were some really loving, caring moments between four people: a hotel room here and there - a really amazing closeness. Just four guys who really loved each other. It was pretty sensational." | |

![]() Here are some great artists honoring The Beatles!![]() | John Lennon: "The music wasn't being heard. It was just a freak show: The Beatles were the show, and the music had nothing to do with it."
Paul McCartney: "I'm really glad that most of the songs dealt with love, peace, understanding. There's hardly any one of them that says: 'Go on, kids, tell them all to sod off. Leave your parents.' It's all very 'All you need is love' or John's 'Give Peace a Chance'. There was a good spirit behind it all, which I'm very proud of, anyway...it were a grand thing, The Beatles." George Harrison: "I'd like to think that the old Beatle fans have grown up and they've got married and they've all got kids and they're all more responsible, but they still have a space in their hearts for us." |
|

| Brian Epstein: "We knew that America would make us or break us as world stars. In fact, she made us." |

| John Lennon: "I don't know what influence Revolution No. 9 had on the teeny-bopper fans, but most of them didn't dig it; so what am I supposed to do?" | |
